The Genetic Potential (GP) gives the skills level that the foal could reach when fully trained according to his parents aptitudes

You will see which are the best Skills (those with the highest GP) : Here it's speed and dressage

It's more or less the average of the parents GP


Foal's GP = (Mother's GP + Father's GP)/2

Foal GP = 702.90 / 2 = 351.45

=> Choose parents who have a high BLUP

the BLUP influences the chance to have a best GP for the foal than the parents GP average.

To have the best foal as possible, it is preferable to select for parents the horses with a high, or at least a positive, BLUP.

Between the age of 8 months and 1 year and 6 months, your foal can play games, and earn a little more GP

Is this example, the foal has started with a GP of 350.19 when he was just born, and at 1 year and 8 months his GP has reached 351 => GP gain is + 0.81 for this foal's games (that is 0.23% of the foal's GP when he was born)

Now, with the new genetic rules, since october 04, you can get a GP gain of + 1.2 with the games.

It's another very usefull indication !
On the Genetics chart, the skills become in bold type when your horse has been fully trained in these skills :
no more skill gain in training, rides or competitions
Here, 3 skills have been fully trained >
It means that your horse can reach this potential if you do the best training (health 100%)

The genetics and the BLUP can only be seen by players that have successfully passed Riding Level 4.
