How is energy from feeding calculated ?
Energy gain out of feeding depends on how much energy the horse already has :
The more his has energy, the more he will get energy out of eating.

It's very useful to understand when to feed your horse during the day, or how much food to give to a foal during games when you have to raise energy.
Energy from feeding box
Eating only hay,
or eating only cereals
or eating both hay + cereals gives energy.
Energy from pasture
When you put your horse in pasture, he eats an amount of grass depending on the season, and how long you put him in the pasture.
He also get more energy out of eating in the pasture, depending on the % cleanliness of the meadows of the EC where he is boarding.
