B L U P ing method

what is it ?

This is the method to be used with all breeds to get them to 100 BLUP with ALL skills bolded.
Pretty much all of it is interchangeable you can switch things around depending on what you want to do.
Almost always do the first two in the same order.

method

1. short trot rides until done
2. speed and dressage training until done
3. 3 low-level jump races a day followed by long jump rides with the remaining energy until done (5 jump races a day with nyx pack)
4. jump training until done
5. 2 cross country races a day until done followed by long gallop rides (3 cross country races a day with nyx pack)
6. remaining long gallop rides until done
7. train in stamina until done
8. trot and gallop races until done
9. trot and gallop training until done

Using this method, you can get to 100 BLUP with all skills bolded by around 10 years 6 months (if you do lessons twice a day every day).
If you skip lessons, everything is usually bolded by about 9 years.
If you just skip lessons for a couple of years then they will still be done easily by 10 years.

High speed breeds can still be done by 10 years easily, especially with a nyx pack on them.

Speed is important because high speed breed can do 5 gallop or trot races a day plus lessons once their speed is bolded.

Good tips for BLUPing

COMPETITIONS:
Jump comps and cross country comps take very little energy at the lower levels, but trot and gallop comps are based on speed - the more speed your horse has, the more trot/gallop races they can do in a day, regardless of their trot/gallop level.

Try to enter jump/cross country comps either at half jump/stamina level, or against horses you know you can beat. In gallop/trot comps try to enter either against horses you can beat, or the lowest comps on the board.

Horses with speed in the top 3 tend to do well in the low-level all-breed jump comps; horses low in speed need to stick to breed-only trot/gallop/jump comps. horses with dressage in the top 2 do well in the all-breed cross country; horses low in dressage should stick to breed-only cross country compts.
Never put anything in the low-level all breed trots since they're pretty impossible, but the high-level all-breed trots are great for STBs if they are running against hackneys/friesians.
The low-level all-breed gallop races run FAST and are great for anything with speed in the top 3.

LESSONS:
If you do lessons every day, here is the program of the day :
lesson, feed (forage + 105 - 123oz cereals depending on the breed), salt stone + grooming, lesson, turnip.
Do the comps next and any training last.
The last thing toI do at the end of the day is stroke, carrot, drink.
Put the horse in box untill 22:00 if there is enough time left.

important

Feed at the beginning of the day (energy around 80%)

Stroke at the end of the day when energy is the lowest, around 2-3%

Give turnips to get an extra 10% energy

Don't put your horse in meadow during the day.
It costs more to feed, but you don't have to worry about vaccinating or deworming, and you can have an extra 2-3 hours for training/comps, plus no overfeeding risk.

PROGRAMS FOR FIRST DAYS:

1year 8months (energy is low due to the foal games): turnip / feed / salt stone / grooming / short trot rides / stroke / carrot / drink / box until 22:00.

1year 10months: 30mn short trot ride / feed / 30 mn short trot ride / turnip / salt stone / grooming / short trot rides with remaining energy / stroke / carrot / drink /box until 22:00.
